About staying in Konyaaltı: Konyaaltı is Antalya's western seafront district: a several-kilometre Blue Flag pebble beach backed dramatically by the Beydağları mountains, with a landscaped beachfront park, the city aquarium and a relaxed local-resort feel. Traveller reviews
The valleys were beautiful in the late afternoon light. We came home with hundreds of photos.
Cappadocia itself was magical, but the bus journey is definitely tiring. I appreciated that the guide kept the schedule clear and told us what to expect before each stop. Dinner at the hotel was slow, which is why I am giving four stars. The valleys, cave rooms, and sunrise views still made the trip very memorable.
The cave hotel style was a nice surprise. Basic in places, but full of character.
Dinner was simple, and the first day was long, but the scenery was completely different from the coast.
The bus ride is long and there is no way around it. Cappadocia itself was magical.
We skipped the balloon flight and still had a beautiful morning watching them from the viewpoint. The rock formations are strange in the best way, and our guide explained the cave houses without making it feel like a lecture. I would only reccomend this to people who are okay with long travel days. If you are, it is absolutely worth doing once.
