Scuba Diving Tour: from Side vs from Kundu

The Scuba Diving Tour can be picked up from both Side and Kundu. The tour itself is identical (6 Hours, β¬45 per person) β the real difference is the transfer. From Side it's about 0 km (~10 min); from Kundu it's about 49.6 km (~62 min). If you want less time on the road, Side is the shorter run. Operator note: Two dives in Side's clear water with a full briefing and safety training, so it genuinely works for complete beginners as well as certified divers. No experience is required for the intro dives β the instructor stays with you throughout. Bring swimwear, a towel and sunscreen; the boat provides all dive gear. Avoid flying within 24 hours of diving, so don't book this for your departure day. A memorable pick for couples and adventurous first-timers.

Traveller reviews
There was some waiting on the boat between dives, so bring patience and maybe a snack. The diving team themselves were professional and kind, especially with people who were nervous. Visibility was good enough to see fish and rock formations. I gave four stars because the lunch was simple, but the diving felt safe.
The first dive was mostly about getting comfortable. The second dive felt much more natural.
We saw small fish and rock formations, not a huge reef, but it was a great first dive.
Waiting on the boat between dives was a little long, but the crew were friendly.
I was surprised by how calm I felt once we were underwater... The briefing covered hand signals, breathing, and what to do if you felt uncomfortable, which helped a lot. My partner panicked slightly at the start and the instructor handled it gently. We bought the photos afterward because they were actually worth having.
I was surprised how calm I felt underwater. The instructor stayed right beside me.
