About staying in Alanya: Alanya is a lively coastal city dominated by a rocky peninsula crowned with a medieval castle and the red-brick Seljuk tower above the harbour. It mixes long beaches, sea caves and a buzzing resort nightlife with genuine history. Nearby you'll find Alanya Castle, Red Tower (Kızıl Kule), Damlataş Cave. Alanya is about 125 km east of Antalya Airport (AYT), roughly a 1 hour 45 minute drive; Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport (GZP) is much closer, around 40 km east. From our guides on the ground: An open-jeep day through the countryside, villages and rivers behind Side and Manavgat — expect dust, sun and a refreshing river swim, so bring swimwear, a towel and sunscreen. It's bumpy and open-top by design, which is half the fun, but hold cameras securely. There's a water-fight tradition between jeeps, so don't carry anything that can't get splashed. Roughly 70–80 km of route with panoramic mountain stops. Great for families and groups who want adventure-lite rather than extreme sport.

Traveller reviews
Bring a bandana if dust bothers you. I still enjoyed the day a lot.
I enjoyed the scenery and village stops, but the music was a little too loud for me at times. The driver was careful on the rougher roads, and the river swim was a great break from the dust. Lunch was simple but in a nice setting. My kids would give it five stars even if I give it four.
The lunch stop was simple but in a nice setting. The river swim afterward was perfect.
The music was a bit loud for me at times, but the views and stops were excellent.
Our daughter was shy at first and ended up joining the water fight with everyone else.
This felt like a proper day away from the resort area. The route covered mountain roads, small villages, river stops, and viewpoints, so it never felt repetitive. Our driver had a great sense of humor but still drove safely. We came back tired, dusty, and in a very good mood.
